Colleges Week celebrates the life-changing impact of further education and this year’s national theme, Skills for All. At Trafford & Stockport College Group, helping people grow, achieve and succeed is at the heart of everything we do.
Throughout the week, we’re shining a spotlight on the skills, ambition and achievements of our learners, while sharing stories from across our campuses on social media. From adult learners shaping new futures to young people gaining industry experience, apprentices excelling in the workplace and community partnerships that bring people together, Colleges Week is a chance to celebrate what makes our Group so special.
Monday – Adult learners
Adult learning changes lives. At Trafford & Stockport College Group, adults join us to upskill, retrain and build the confidence they need to step into new opportunities. Our programmes are designed with employers to make sure learners gain the skills local industries are looking for, and the results speak for themselves.
This week we’re spotlighting an employer‑partnered adult programme where learners completed an intensive three‑week skills pathway, with multiple participants securing job offers and progressing directly into meaningful work. These achievements show the difference practical training, personalised support and employer collaboration can make.

Tuesday – Young people
Young people across our Group are developing the knowledge, independence and experience they need to move confidently toward their goals. This year, we’re celebrating the impact of T Levels, qualifications that combine classroom learning with substantial industry placements.
Learners benefit from expert tutors, specialist facilities and meaningful employer links that help them understand what real careers look like. From classroom projects to industry placements and enrichment opportunities, young people are discovering what excites them and building clear pathways into university, apprenticeships or employment.
On social media we’re sharing:
– behind-the-scenes looks at industry placements
– inspiring learner journeys from early study to university offers
– moments where learners have represented their college on major platforms

They develop technical skills, build confidence and make real contributions to their employers. Many take on increased responsibility, progress into permanent roles or move into higher-level study with solid experience behind them.
On social media, we’re sharing:
– insights into the daily experience of an apprentice
– examples of apprentices supporting key projects
– stories that show how practical training prepares learners for future careers
