Course Overview

In your first year you will study a range of core competencies covering the core principles of what is required to become a practitioner within Health and Social Care. In your second year you will study and gain specific core competencies in Supporting the Therapy Teams. You will be assessed though exams, employer set projects, controlled assessments and practical skill tests. As part of achieving the overall T Level programme you will complete a substantial industry placement with an external employer, a minimum of 315 hours industry placement.

Course Requirements

5 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above including maths, English Language and Science.

What you will Learn

You will learn how to help registered practitioners to deliver healthcare services to adult patients in a variety of settings. Accordingly, you will become proficient at carrying out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks that are required in a healthcare setting. Training will equip you to follow standards, policies and protocols in order to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare to the best of your ability. As a Healthcare Practitioner it is essential to treat people with dignity, to respect an individual’s diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences, and to show respect for those you work with but have the courage to challenge any areas of concern.
