Course Overview

Learners will study a 2 year Childcare & Education course that has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to meet industry standards. The course is a mixture of classroom based assessments and engaging with employers in a nursery, childcare setting or primary school. You will gain a valuable opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice, spending over 60 days in industry.

Course Requirements

5 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above including maths and English Language.

What you will Learn

From exploring a range of different theoretical perspectives to analysing the thinking of key philosophers, on this course you will study the complex factors that affect children’s lives and explore ways to positively shape and influence their futures. This qualification is current and relevant with progression routes, allowing you to gain a license to practice for employment or opportunities or Higher Education.

Assessment

Formative assessments will take place throughout the 2 year course.
2 externally set and marked exams.
Reflective journal.
800 hours in industry led placement.
