Course Overview

This Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools has been designed to give you the skills you need to work with, and support, children, and young people in an educational setting.

Entry Requirements

Preferred achievement at Level 1 is required, this can be discussed with curriculum experts during the application stage.

What you will Learn

During your studies, you will cover a wide range of areas including communication, development, planning activities, monitoring and more. You will also gain insight into how schools and colleges are structured and operated, health and safety legislation and the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.

Assessment

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods, which could include written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams, or setting up an information board.

Progression

Upon completion of this course, candidates will be supported to apply for full-time Apprenticeship roles, or the level 3 route
