There are no formal entry requirements for our Foundation Learning courses. All applicants will be asked to attend an assessment event, where the Foundation Learning Team will assess you to find out the most suitable course for you.
Level 2 courses generally require 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths at grade 3. To prepare you for a higher-level qualification, employment or university you might be required to study a GCSE qualification in English and maths.
Level 3 courses generally require 5 GCSEs at grades 9 – 4 including English and maths. To prepare you for a higher-level qualification, employment or university you will be required to study towards GCSE English and maths Grade 4 or above.
Most of our A-Level courses will require 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, covering a wide range of subject areas. These must include English Language and Maths. More details can be found on the subject pages.
An average of Grade 7 or higher at GCSE. Students on the Academic Excellence Pathway will have all of their subject lessons as normal but they will also be placed in an Academic Excellence tutor group.
